Nextiva Op-Center Feature Set

Nextiva Op-Center is an enterprise DVR management software solution that allows managers and system administrators to monitor, manage, and troubleshoot all of their Verint network video recorders from a central location. Designed for use with Nextiva NetDVR II, NetDVR, MicroDVR II, and MicroDVR, Op-Center can make managing thousands of remote NVRs as simple as managing a single site.

With Version 3.1, Op-Center offers extended DVR audit and alert functions, as well as an optional Report Generator.

NVR Status at a Glance

Op-Center features an intuitive, user-friendly dashboard. Here, users can verify the operational status of all enterprise network video recorders, scanning NVR details in an easy-to-read, color-coded format.

Nextiva

With Op-Center, organizations can manage DVR properties, passwords, and firmware, promoting superior system uptime, enhanced management control, and improved operational uniformity. The software is optimized for low-bandwidth environments, allowing NVRs to be scanned and updated in just minutes.

More Effective NVR Management

System administrators can also perform extensive system health and status checks, displaying more than 30 pieces of information related to enterprise NVRs, including total storage capacity and free space, percentage of recorded video that is motion related, and licensing data, which enables users to determine whether NVR firmware has been updated to support specific features and functionality. The reporting data is selectable, allowing users to view only the information they want in a tabular, easily indexed format.

Automatic email alerts notify users when NVRs require attention. This promotes a more proactive approach to NVR monitoring and faster, more effective response to device breakdowns. System administrators can schedule status checks at specific times for specific conditions — hard disk status or hard disk temperature, camera outages, or events, for example — and receive email notification if an issue needs to be addressed. Authorized personnel can schedule these alerts to repeat as often as preferred, whether every hour or once each day.

Op-Center Reports

Op-Center Reports, which is available as an option with Op-Center Version 3.1 and above, provides users with important information about their Nextiva Intelligent DVRs that they can export, save, or print as a report.

Flexible Access to Protect Against Unauthorized System Changes

Op-Center has two different access levels, Administrator and User. This provides users with greater control over access to their systems, providing the ability to allow employees to check the status of Nextiva Intelligent DVRs without being able to make any major system changes.

  • The Administrator level allows the operator full access to the program, including password management, firmware updates, and task scheduling.
  • The User level has restricted privileges that allows users to update DVR status and view and analyze any feedback from the DVR. However, a user cannot change any settings for DVRs or scheduled tasks.

Centralized Management of Passwords and Firmware

Op-Center provides powerful management features, including:

  • DVR Password Management for scheduling password updates and managing user and admin passwords by defined region
  • DVR Groups and Database Management for assigning groups of DVRs by status, region, and type
  • DVR Firmware Management for managing firmware updates across the enterprise

With an intuitive interface, at-a-glance status checks, and programmable email notifications, Op-Center delivers a powerful enterprise solution for managing network video recorders. Op-Center streamlines operations, virtually eliminating the need to visit individual sites to check on NVRs, promotes greater uptime and effectiveness, and simplifies the management of hundreds and even thousands of network video recording devices. Together with Nextiva Vid-Center, which provides enterprise-wide NVR viewing, Op-Center helps banks, retailers, and other commercial organizations make the most of their Verint network video recorders.
