The KF-4000 cash register has been designed to be used for ticket distribution in 6 currencies in intercity transport vehicles. The solutions applied in the KF-4000 cash register enable the adjustment of the in-built software to the customer’s individual requirements. All required and saved sales data are stored in FLASH mass memories (in the form of an electronic copy of a printout). The main feature of the KF-4000 model is the possibility to control other devices produced by R&G, such as the internal or external passenger information boards, SRG-3000 on-board computer system measurement modules or GPRS communication modules. It is an advantage which definitely makes the KF-4000 model stand out when compared to the KF-3000-A model. At the same time, the KF-4000 cash register enables cooperation with the traffic control centre in public transport control systems and real-time passenger bus/tram-stop information systems.

This model also gives the possibility to define a 130 different types of tickets that can be divided into up to 30 categories. The access to the mode of selling is carried out by means of an electronic key which identifies the operator. The user may prepare e few types of reports (obligatory or information reports): twenty-four hour reports, periodical reports, monthly reports and statistical reports, which will result in a detailed analysis of sales.
