KRG-6KM and KRG-6K Paper Ticket Validators

The KRG-6K ticket validator has been designed for paper ticket stamping in city transport services. It can communicate with the SRG-2000 on-board computer, an SRG-xx00P control panel or operate off-line. The validation of a ticket is made by overprinting a combination of sixteen characters (letters and digits) on the ticket and destroying it mechanically by making perforations. The last four characters show the time the ticket was validated. The combination of the remaining characters is programmed locally or remotely and depends on the user’s individual requirements. The validator is equipped with an automatic heating-up system which enables it to operate without breakdown in very low temperatures. It is also equipped with a large back-lit readable LCD screen (2x16 characters) which constantly shows the time, zone and other special announcements for passengers. The device software offers the function of validated ticket number counting, which is of particular importance in case of off-line operation. The basic version of the validator can be upgraded with contactless Mifare® card reader, thus becoming compatible with KRG-6KB0 or KRG-6KB3 types, provided that the front part of the body has been replaced.

KRG-6B0 AND KRG-6B3 Electronic Ticket Validators

The KRG-6B0 and KRG-6B3 ticket validators are the high-tech validators designed for the validation of electronic contactless card tickets. The validation of a ticket is made by holding an electronic ticket against the indicated area at the front on the validator at a distance of a few centimetres. The KRG-6B3 model is additionally equipped with three buttons. Two of them are used to select an adequate tariff, while the third button is used to turn on the mode of contactless card status verification. As the card is held against the validator, a number of points is collected from the card (in case of a card with points accumulated on it) that corresponds to the tariff selected. If the credit on the ticket allows it to be validated fewer than five times, the warning along with the information about the ticket expiration date (in case of time-limited tickets) will be displayed.

KRG-6KB3 AND KRG-6KB0 Paper and Electronic Ticket Validators

The KRG-6KB3 and KRG-6KB0 ticket validator models combine the functions of paper ticket stamping (similarly to the KRG-6K model) and electronic ticket validation (similarly to the KRG-6B3 and KRG-6B0 models). The contactless card ticket validators can operate in various ticket systems, for example “electronic purse” type of tickets (with points accumulated), time-limited tickets, date-limited tickets, multi-ride tickets, „Check in - Check out” system and combinations of all five. A possibility exists of using one card for a number of different transport services which settle the accounts among one another.
